The Riding for the Disabled Special Olympics Regional Competition was held on 18th October at Bensafrim.  RDB entered 9 Competitors for the competition: 5 from NECI, 2 from Algoz and 2 from Santo Amaro.

The Opening Ceremony for the disabled Olympics was on March 13th and the Games started on March 14th. Here is our talented rider Lucelia, in Abu Dhabi along with Sue (our instructor) and Angela (our physiotherapist), with other members of the Portuguese equestrian team.

Lucelia Gloria, aged 30, a rider from Riding For The Disabled Barlavento (RDB) has won two silver medals at the above games. Lucelia won her two medals in the Level CS – English working trails and the Level CS – English equitation.

We are sad to say goodbye to Tanja Rai, but everyone at Riding For The Disabled would like to say a huge 'thank you' to Tanja. We wish her all the best with her new business venture, which is her own physiotherapy business in Lagos.
